I'm a fast-talking, coffee-guzzling, sketchbook-doodler who's obsessed with books and making cool things.
But can I tell you my deepest, most crippling, soul-wrenching fear?
The dark.
I cannot be in the dark. I had a night-light until I was in high school. Kinda lame, right?
This means I spent a lot of restless nights as a kid. So, instead of going to bed and facing the possibility of a monster hiding in the closet (I've met him; he's actually pretty nice), I would read books and magazines,
draw in my fuzzy notebook, or try to make a dress for my doll
out of Pop-Tart wrappers. This spurred my creative side.
I cannot be in the dark—Not literally, nor metaphorically. Which is why I
also always try to learn as much as I can: to read everything,
talk to anyone, and go on as many adventures as possible.
It's been quite a rewarding mission.
